Week of 9/20/2021 - Weekly Report 3

Jacob

• We are switching up the groups so that Quinn and I are in a group and Jordyn and DJ will be in the other group. Quinn and I will lead the point to point and the other group will lead parallel parking.

• We are also thinking about changing the platform of the project so that it will be smaller but more easy to control. This will give us more time to work on the Smart features of the system.

• I also started to work on the first part of the final report. This includes the the charts that make up the marketing and engineering decision matrix so that we can figure out how we want to design our project and what parameters we will have.

Quinn

• Reconnect with Dr. Smith about changes to project design and continue getting advice on the smart car control systems.

• Working with the rest of the group to organize team changes and platform modification.

• Work on the final report.
  

Jordyn

• Researched intel realsense LiDAR camera.

• Worked with the rest of the group to organize team changes and platform modification. Addressed the possibility of changing carts.

DJ

• Researched alternatives for changing the platform of the project. More specifically, remote-controlled electric toy cars big enough to fit a child were researched.

• Collaborated with the team to decide whether the platform of the project should be changed.

Plans for Next Week:

• The decision for the platform of the project

• Plans to purchase Lidar camera

• Finish the first section of the final report.
