Week of 10/25/2021 - Weekly Report 8

Plans for next week:

• Work on the basis for each systems and the sensors and processors that will be used.

Group Meeting memo:

• No group memo this week due to group presentations.

Project Progress:

Jordyn

• Resubmitted HW 3 and 4. After switching from object detection to CAN bus

• I worked on the group presentation. This included improvements from last years CAN design and adding new requirements to make the design more efficient for future use.

• After presentations and receiving feedback from the department I began working new milestones for the end of the semester.

• Next week I will begin working on design using Eagle software for PCB board

Quinn

• I worked on the group presentation. This included doing background research into the LMU smart car initiative, prior smart car projects, as well as the future of smart cars.

• Started on the buy list for the Point to Point Navigation system.

Jacob

• I worked on the group presentation. This included finding research that backed up the project such as which sensors and processes car manufacturers use to implement auto-parking and other sensing mechanisms.

DJ

• Worked on the group presentation for the department. Focused on presenting the timeline of the project and requirements of the Adaptive Cruise Control.

• Next week: Examine the code from last year's group to gain ideas for the Adaptive Cruise Control program.
