Plans for next week:
Work on the basis for each systems and the sensors and processors that will be used.
Group Meeting memo:
No group memo this week due to group presentations.
Project Progress:
Jordyn
Resubmitted HW 3 and 4. After switching from object detection to CAN bus
I worked on the group presentation. This included improvements from last years CAN design and adding new requirements to make the design more efficient for future use.
After presentations and receiving feedback from the department I began working new milestones for the end of the semester.
Next week I will begin working on design using Eagle software for PCB board
Quinn
I worked on the group presentation. This included doing background research into the LMU smart car initiative, prior smart car projects, as well as the future of smart cars.
Started on the buy list for the Point to Point Navigation system.
Jacob
I worked on the group presentation. This included finding research that backed up the project such as which sensors and processes car manufacturers use to implement auto-parking and other sensing mechanisms.
DJ
Worked on the group presentation for the department. Focused on presenting the timeline of the project and requirements of the Adaptive Cruise Control.
Next week: Examine the code from last year's group to gain ideas for the Adaptive Cruise Control program.
