In the past week, the requirements for the entire project were discussed and revised with the assistance of the advisor. In terms of the Advanced Cruise Control (ACC) feature's requirements, a few revisions were made. First, the vehicle should now be able to adapt the following distance between cars based on the speed of the car. Second, the user should be able to set the speed before starting the ACC feature. The goal for this requirement is to give the user three-speed options for ACC. Lastly, an additional requirement was added, which is that the vehicle should be able to stop if the car in front of it stops. A concept fan was also created to organize ideas and decision-making for the ACC feature of the project. The concept fan can be found below in Figure 4.
In the coming week, there are a few items on the agenda. First, the project requirements for the ACC will be submitted. Also, the concept fan and other concepts/decision tables will be finalized and prepared for submission. Lastly, preparations will be made for the project presentation to the department.
